This past weekend my family came into town for a visit and we had a blast. We tried to hit as many New York landmarks as we could, as most of the group had never been to the city before.
This is us out on Saturday night: Jason, me, Auntie Donna, Uncle Paul, Mom and Ray.
We started out going to FAO Schwartz and then walking through Central Park. From there, we headed to Benoit’s Bar. My aunt and uncle are Benoits and it was pretty cool to go to a bar with their name everywhere! We then walked around Rockefeller Center and Times Square. The weather was beautiful and we had a lot of fun seeing the sights – many of which Jason and I never go to.
On Saturday night, we went to dinner at Five Points in Greenwich Village and then went to 230 Fifth, an awesome rooftop bar in midtown where we had a private table and beautiful views of the NY skyline. We danced the night away! On Sunday, we met for brunch at Morandi in the West Village, then toured Washington Square Park, Chelsea Market, Rockefeller Center’s Rink Bar, and Grand Central Station. We did quite a bit of walking and it was a lot warmer out on Sunday – what a workout!
I’m so happy my family came to visit and hope they enjoyed it as much as we did! I decided to start posting restaurant reviews on this site, as I love letting people know the places I’ve been that are great, and others that I’d stay away from. Click over to the Restaurant Reviews page to read more. You’ll find details from the two restaurants we went to last weekend, Five Points and Morandi, on there right now.
