I have had dinner at Miranda several times and it’s always exceptional. The food is Latin-Italian fusion, and the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. The service is impeccable. The host (the chef’s husband) is very helpful in explaining the menu and recommending wine. We’re never rushed through our meal, even on a very busy Friday night. The wait staff is on top of everything, water, bread, clearing plates, etc. There was a singer, guitarist and bassist playing one time during dinner – it was a nice touch to the atmosphere.
On one occasion, we had a bottle of red wine with dinner, the crostini special (Buffalo mozzarella and pesto), an appetizer portion of wild mushroom, ricotta and truffle oil ravioli, and a spicy sausage, red sauce and pea pasta dish, and then we split the braised short rib entree served with glazed carrots, greens and potatoes. Every course was phenomenal. The pasta is all homemade – there’s nothing quite like fresh homemade pasta. The short ribs absolutely melted in our mouths. Believe it or not, we weren’t stuffed after all that (portions were the perfect size) and splurged on dessert; a Mexican chocolate and cinnamon flan and a tres leches cake. Both, again… fantastic!
Kudos to Chef Sasha! It’s always so fun and the food is outstanding. I highly recommend Miranda to those looking for exceptional food, service and entertainment.
